Adopting a kitten is a lifetime commitment, we here at Milky Way Ragdolls want to ensure that our kittens go to their "furever" home. To ensure this promise we have made to our kittens of going to their "furever" family we have an adoption process in place. First, we would like some background information on yourself. Do you have the time to dedicate to a new family member, your career, your family structure, where do you live, and we will need references. A deposit of $300 is required to place a kitten on hold, this deposit goes towards the total cost of adoption of your kitten. You may e-mail us at info@milkywayragdolls.com or call 570-418-5200 to discuss our adoption process.  Deposits are nonrefundable however, your deposit may be used within 24 months from the date you placed your deposit. 

How to make a deposit: You can mail a Money Order or Check. Use our PayPal button located below. PayPal accepts MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or Your Bank/Debit Card. 

When do kittens go home? Our kittens go home between 12-16 weeks old, after their spay or neuter. They will come home with records of their vaccinations, health certified, spayed/neutered, a welcome home gift bag, and a sample of food! We will arrange a date for you to come pick your kitten up and take them home with you! WE WILL NOT SHIP OUR KITTENS AS CARGO FOR ANY REASON! When kittens are shipped as cargo is creates a lot of unnecessary stress on them. They are put in a dark place all by themselves, something they have never experienced before. It can and will cause kitties to get sick. If it is not possible for you to come pick your kitten up, we understand, for your convenience we do offer delivery to your door step for an extra fee. Please contact us for pricing on delivery. 

Will I get to visit my kitten before bringing them home? The answer to that is, YES!! We would love for you to come to our cattery meet kittens and our Stars! The meet & greet will occur somewhere around 8 weeks old. However, we have to make sure that our babies stay safe! We ask that you do not come here within 24 hours of being at any other cattery or shelter, as it could bring in unwanted pests or illnesses. We have a strict procedure when you come through our doors, no shoes allowed in our home followed by washing & sanitizing your hands before handling any of our babies. We love our babies and are only looking out for their well being! We will set up a date and time that works for you to come to here and do a meet & greet where we will assist you in picking the kitten for you! If You're unable to come visit our kitties in person we can video chat! 

What happens when I take my kitten home? Before you take your kitten home you will be provided with information (also included in your adoption packet), on how to best introduce your new family member to your home. For you to be more prepared to bring your kitty home we e-mail you a list of items that we recommend for your kitty before taking them home which includes the type of food your kitten eats. Please know once your kitty goes home you're not alone we are still here for you! We encourage you to e-mail and call us with concerns, updates & photos, or questions, we are here to assist you in this process!
